Babyface
An experimental automaton built in the early 1920’s for Gerald Vandersnook to ease the pain of his wife’s inability to bear children. The Vandersnooks “raised” the automaton as if he was their own son. They even named him Thomas. Thomas couldn’t grow like a regular child, but the family wanted to ensure he was treated no differently from any other boy his age. This proved difficult as the years passed so the Vandersnooks decided it would be best to keep him hidden from the outside world.
On the night of Nov. 2nd 1929, a group of men entered the Vandersnook residence. They killed Mr. Vandersnook and his wife, but awakened Thomas in the process. Thomas tried to defend his “parents”, but was beaten and broken by the intruders.
Afterwards, Thomas was stripped of his inheritance due to the fact that he wasn’t a “living” relative. Feeling betrayed and forgotten by the “justice” system, Thomas decided the only real justice he could receive would come by the way of brute force and villainy.
“Once broken, nothing ever truly mends.”
- Babyface rules the southside of Darkwater with an iron fist in the most literal sense.
- Once tried to kill all the first-born sons of the Vandersnook Industries board
- Refuses to fix his missing eye, claiming it allows him to see things more clearly.
